About Alfie Starter
What exactly counts as one 'learning material'?
Each time you have Alfie generate learning materials (such as a quiz with an answer key) counts as one learning material. You can then make edits without it costing extra materials. If you make many edits, you will be asked to commit an extra material before the changes are applied.
Are my free 'Starter' materials carried over to the next month if I don't use them immediately?
Your initial starter bonus of 10 materials remains valid until you've used them. In addition, you receive 5 new materials each month. This monthly replenishment does not carry over to the next month.
What if I run out of materials in the 'Starter' plan?
You can wait until the start of the next month, or you can upgrade directly to Alfie Pro to create all the materials you want :)
About Alfie Pro
How do the 'generous limits' with Alfie Pro work exactly?
With Alfie Pro, you can truly create abundantly! We maintain a generous Fair Use Policy to ensure Alfie works optimally for everyone. Only if you create a particularly large amount of materials, you will at one point receive a notification that you have hit the limit. You can continue creating at the start of the next Monday when the limits reset.
Can I switch from Starter to Pro (and back) at any time?
You can upgrade from Starter to Pro at any time via your account settings. If you cancel your Pro subscription, you will be automatically switched back to the Starter plan at the end of your current billing period (monthly or annually).
How do I cancel my Pro subscription?
You can easily cancel your Alfie Pro subscription via your account settings. With a monthly subscription, it then stops at the end of the current paid month. With an annual subscription, it continues until the end of the paid annual period.
Payment & Administration
Who processes my payment?
Payments for Alfie are securely handled through Stripe, a trusted and reliable payment provider. Stripe ensures your payment details are well protected and supports multiple payment methods such as iDEAL and credit card.
What payment methods do you accept?
For individual subscriptions, you can pay using SEPA direct debit, credit card, or these regional payment methods: iDEAL (Netherlands), Bancontact (Belgium), Sofort (Germany, Austria, Switzerland).
For organization subscriptions, we also offer the option to pay via invoice.
What if something goes wrong with the payment?
Most of the time, there's nothing wrong and you can just try again. If you do experience a problem, please contact us at support@alfie.school and we will sort it out as soon as we can!
Can my school pay for my Alfie Pro subscription?
Absolutely! Many schools reimburse tools that contribute to professionalization and workload reduction. Discuss this with your supervisor.
